PSL RESUMES THIS WEEKEND (Match day twenty –two)

As the Premier Soccer League resumes play this weekend (12th of September 2015) having paved way for the National Team who drew 1-1 with Guinea in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier at Rufaro Stadium, all roads lead to Zvishavane for the “match of the week” pitting the host FC Platinum and the defending champions Dynamos Fc at Mandava Stadium at 1500hrs.

Dynamos are sitting second on the log with Fc Platinum following on the third sit; the match will prove to be taste of character for the Platinum miners who have not lost a match in the second half of the league. However, the defending champions would want to collect maximum points to unsettle the log leaders Chicken Inn FC on the top sit.

 
The “Game Cocks”, Chicken Inn FC are the current log leaders having amassed 42 points from 20 outings faceoff with ZPC Kariba at Luveve Stadium.” Kauya Katuruturu” is 11th on the log with 21 points in their pocket. Coach Joey Antipas will be pleased to maintain top spot in the Log table.

 
Highlanders FC travel to Harare to lock horns with the “City Fathers” Harare FC at Rufaro Stadium. Having parted ways with Coach Bongani Mafu after a double loss to Fc Platinum and Whawha Fc, Bosso are now under the tutelage of Cosmas ‘Tsano’ Zulu. The City Fathers are at 8th position with just a point on top of the ailing Bulawayo giants.

 
Flame Lily FC; host Hwange Fc at Lafarge Stadium. With “Flamer Bora” battling for their life at the topflight league sitting on 12th position, its followers will be hoping for nothing short of victory. On the other hand, ‘Chimpangano’ will be happy with three points which will see them maintaining a spot the top 8.

 
On Sunday 13th of September the struggling “Prison Wardens” Whawha FC have a task to contain the ‘Sugar Boys’ Triangle FC at Ascot Stadium in Gweru. Triangles are on 4th position with 32 points with a difference of 10 points from the Log leaders, while Whawha is scathing on thin ice at the bottom of the log table, with a mere 15 points from 20 matches.

 
The Green Machine, Caps United FC hosts Buffaloes FC at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday 13th at 1500hrs. Buffaloes have 18 points and are 14th on the log table, with Caps at 5th position. Caps Coach Mark Mathe will hope to recover from the draw they accumulated against Dongo Sawmills FC.

 
Dongo Sawmills FC welcomes Chapungu FC at Vengere Stadium. “Dongo” are on position 13 following Tsholotsho FC who square off with How Mine FC at White City Stadium .The “Villagers” Tsholotsho lead by Lizwe Sweswe will be hoping to upset “Chikurupati” who are 6th on the log with 27 points.
