Meet JPac Nuno, the next Southern African Star Rapper

JPac Nuno real name Brian Nyandoro is a South African Rapper, who was born in Zimbabwe, Harare and was raised in Botswana, Gaborone in a small suburb called G.west extension 2.Nuno as he is known in his circles gives credit to his father for influencing him to get into the music making world.

“My style is a mix of lyrical content with subject matter but more focused on sound,so that it suits radio for airplay and makes almost all age groups listen to my music.”

He ventured into the music world at the age of 11 after being moved musically by major world music idols like Bob Marley, Oliver Mutukudzi and 2pac among others. Pac Nunos` prolific music journey started in High School at a school called Barnato Park High School, this is where he met his new friends Samuel Gondwe and Mthembeni Ndevu aka Emteeda Hustla.Nuno said “I was so interested in writing music all day in class then Emtee and Samuel asked if I was a rapper I agreed so we been friends since that day.”

Nuno has been making music from that day up until now, from rapping in free class periods, breaktime; this led to him recording his first mixtape which has led to him, making music for the people at Lucid Records, where he is currently signed.

The Lucid Record deal has opened bigger doors for Nuno, as a result of the deal he has worked with major South African musicians like Emtee,Kay Dee, and Ginger Breadman, Smashis from CashTimeFam among others. As a rapper JPac Nuno emphasized that his style is based on a foundation of a 2pac influenced rapper. He further highlighted that his sound is Good feeling music because he says he experiments a lot with sounds from instruments and vocals to make one sound.JPac matriculated in 2011 and was admitted into university where he studied computer science for 2years, before dropping out and focusing on music production. “I put my studies on hold to pursue my music journey, so all I know and do is music day and night”, said Nuno.

This year Nuno has released two sizzling bangers which are crossing over to 2016 and to hit major South African and Zimbabwean radio stations. The singles are Ice-cold featuring Sam and Respect featuring Smashis of Cash time and Emtee.Respect has already got a massive and positive response, this has seen it being reviewed and published by one of South Africa’s hip-hop lords  “Slikour” on his website www.slikouronlife.co.za

The song “Respect” got 11000 downloads in 60minutes after its release.The second hit single “Ice-cold”has also followed the success route.“Ice cold” eventually led to JPac hosting his own event dubbed the “IceColdCoolSummerEvent” in Braamfontein which was graced by a massive hip-hop crowd, Smashis and Emtee also turned up as supporting acts.Jpac Nuno is currently working on his latest E.P called P.T.I.O Play Time Is Over, with his producer/friend “ Tratt” to be released in January 2016.

Nuno gives tribute to her mother for his music success, “My mother Tarry Jones has been a pillar for my strength and motivation she allows me to do my music freely and very supportive so as my step father.”

In 2 years’ time Nuno hopes to join his mates Nastyc and Emtee on the major stages, joining them at award ceremonies and also becoming one of the biggest artists for both Zimbabwe and South Africa just like Nadia Nakai.
