(K.T)  Tell us about your journey how did it all start?

(SuQea): Life is an unpredictable phenomenon, I can’t really say much about my journey as I’m still in transit. However so far it’s been an interesting and yet challenging journey. It all started as a passion for fashion and beauty.

Even in high school my obsession with looking good earned me the nickname “Malaika”.In 2015 I just felt I should pursue my fashion dream and here I am still pushing it. All thanks to social media nothing could stop me to break global boundaries.

(K.T): Tell us about the birth of your current brand?

(SuQea):  Initially I had been only focusing on being a wardrobe auditor but then realised that some women were not making an effort to complete the whole outlook by taking care of their facials as well. For me that was a problem that needed a solution hence the birth of SuQea.

The primary objective was to grant all women an opportunity to look the part. SuQea is about changing the stereotypical look of the local girl, such that she can stand “head to toe” with the most good looking lass in the world arena.

(K.T): What inspired you?

(SuQea) : I believe that the first woman I made contact with when I landed on earth planted the first seeds of cleanliness and beauty in me my mother ,From the very first time I became aware of myself, I was always self-conscious  about being clean  and dirt wasn’t tolerated at my house. This was the lovely lady with a neat afro hair working tirelessly to feed me and my siblings but never neglecting her own looks and ours. That was my mother, I’m proud she is the inspiration behind this dream.

Therefore the goal is to bring the picture perfect look to life through fashion which encompasses all forms of beauty. Fashion is a skill that develops and I’m confident enough to claim a fashion icon status as my work and lifestyle will justify on my behalf.

 (K.T): What motivates you?

Each time I look at my little girl, I think of how many beautiful things she deserves in life and how much I’m her only key to those things. That’s enough motivation to keep me reaching for the stars.

(K.T): What has been your career highlights?

(SuQea): As I said earlier, that this is only the beginning of my journey. Being the pioneer of the concept of makeup workshops nationally with the first unique and successful one held on the 1st of April 2017 at The Bulawayo Club above all getting recognition from my international clients.  #makeuponpointworkshop.

(K.T): what has been your lowest point?

(SuQea):  Lack of support from your own people, when you have a dream you share it with those close to you, hoping that when it unfolds they will be there to support you. But anyway they say “a prophet has no honour in his own town”.
