Former Big Brother Africa housemate and filmmaker Munya Chidzonga will be part of a delegation of broadcasters who will represent the country at this year’s edition of the annual INPUT Conference for broadcasters to be held in Helsinki, Finland from May 12 to 15.
The delegation is led by veteran filmmaker, Stephen Chigorimbo, who has had the opportunity to attend previous conferences.
The delegates will have an opportunity to watch screenings and discuss the most innovative TV and online contents in all genres.
In an interview with the Zimbabwe Mail, Chidzonga said he was elated to be part of the delegation.
He said it was a perfect platform to exchange ideas that he will adopt and implement back home to grow the film and broadcasting industry.
“I am sure this conference will go a long way in assisting us to map the way forward in our local film and broadcasting industry,” Chidzonga said.
“We will exchange ideas with more than 200 broadcasters from different countries and I am optimistic it will benefit us as individuals and the industry as a whole,” said Chidzonga who has produced two films to date.
He was part of the production crew for Lobola and The Gentleman where he also had acting roles.
The conference is hosted by the Finnish Broadcasting Company and its media partners including the Finnish Film and Audio-visual Export.
