Artistes geared for the big bowl concert

The plight of children has always worried me especially children living in the streets and homes. I have always wondered on what exactly should be done to help and shape their lives to be just like of other children in the world. Having a descent education, having all the daily basics. Each time I pray I send a prayer about them, at the same time hoping to have a helping hand towards them.

When I heard that a youth organisation in Bulawayo was working on a concert to change the face of children homes, I was inspired and I made sure I made contact with the organisers and find a way to make sure the event becomes a huge success.
Saturday June 28 will be a different day in history as Dot Youth presents The Big Bowl Concert, with proceeds of the event going to the refurbishment of Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s Home. The concert will feature performances from Ex-Mile, Thandy Dlana, Zet Moyo, NLCC Byo Praise and worship team Vocal X and Rudo Amor and many more the concert will be held at Bulawayo Theatre.

In the build up to the event we managed to have a conversation with rising gospel sensation and Model Rudo Amor who will also be performing at the concert. Born Rudo Nyoni she fell in love with singing at the tender age of 11, since then she has never looked back. She has toured some of the countries in southern Africa during her days at high school at Girls College and has been to cultural events. She has also worked with worship Addicts and features in some of their songs.

I have always been passionate about charity. I love helping the kids. We take some of this things for granted but it means a lot. At times the kids don’t have enough food and eventually fail to access education. When Dot.youth contacted me I was excited and I really wanted to help. She describes herself as quirky, sweet and lovely. Rudo has been inspired by a lot of people including his Uncle Abel Choto. She has featured in concerts featuring south African gospel musician Benjamin Dube,Keke and Zimbabwean duo of Mkhululi Bhebhe and Eric Moyo. She is a rising star that is set for dizzy heights. We all look forward to her performance on Sartuday. You can follow Rudo on twitter @ rudoamor5.
