The auditions for this year’s Miss Professional pageant took place at the Horizons Restaurant and Bar on the 7th of March 23, 2015. It saw over 60 hopefuls audition but only about 15 females and 10 made it through to the finals. Urban Culxure Magazine got the opportunity to chat with the contestants and each individual told us a little about themselves.

First off we spoke to Lerato Ndlovu who is an 18 year old student. She says she is very outgoing and is a social butterfly. She is a much focused young lady that never quits until she has accomplished her goals.


Senelisiwe Ncube (26 years old)
Senelisiwe enjoys travelling, reading and meeting new people. She only started modeling a month ago; I personally wonder why she hadn’t started a while ago because at first glance she struck me as the next supermodel. She says she is inspired by the need to be successful.

Anita Dawn Chantelle Kubie (27years)
Is a manager at the Country Golf Club. She says she is a head on person in what she wants in life. She is smart confident and loves to meet and interact with different people, enjoys swimming. Anita would also like to pursue psychology and most of all she is a Christian.

Bathabetsoe Thabie Nare (21years)

Is a student who loves interacting, modeling and believes in living a life of purpose through impacting and changing the lives around her. She says she is hardworking, determined, goal oriented and has a mind to inspire and a heart to give.
Nokulunga Ashley Nyathi (18years)

Is a student that believes that dreams come true as long as one is determined. She says she is strong willed, reserved, determined and most of all industrious. Her inspiration is Uncle Nasho.

Sian Tara Agnes Landsberg

Is a 27 year old lady who is hoping to open a one stop beauty parlor as it has been her dream since she was a teenager. She also added that she has an energetic 5year old daughter who is her pride, and she gets inspiration her fiancé.
Bathabile Dlamini (23years)

Is a NUST student who is studying Journalism and Media. She is the reigning 1st Princess at Miss NUST 2014.
Sibusisiwe Falala (20 years)

Is the 1st princess at Miss Zim Environment. She loves reading, loves Fashion and is an introvert.



Amanda Nyoni
Is the last female contestant we spoke to. She is 21years old who aspires to be motivational speaker for young women and run an institution that educates single mothers. She would like to become a lawyer someday and is currently doing promotions for various organizations.

Francis Chikanga(21 years)

The 21 year old is currently a Publishing student at the National University of Science and Technology. He says he is a young lad full of life and basically, looking good is his weakness.

Clayton Dube (20years)
Is a part time field marketer. He also described himself as an outgoing person and loves fashion. He believes that the world is full of possibilities and that dreams come true, and is inspired by his mother.
Anthony Mukwasi (27 years)

Is a Veterinary and Livestock Technician. He prides himself in being humble, passionate, and focused and knowing what he wants out of life. He believes that good things come to those that wait.
Abednego Chiwaka (22years)

Is currently working at Broadway Spar. He is also studying Electrical Engineering with UNISA.
Blessings Thembelihle Ncube (25 years)
Is a plant engineering student at Bulawayo Polytechnic College. He says he is very adventurous person who has a lust for life.
Kudzai Mthokozisi Halahala (27 years)

Is a Marketing, Research and Development Manager at Business Environment Services. He is the treasurer for Twimbos giving Hope Byo (TGH). He says he is a philanthropist, entrepreneur and he is passionate about helping the less privileged. He is also researching a thesis to take on for his PHD. He is also an active member of the Roteract Club of Belmont.
