Zibusiso is a 23 year old lady born on the 11th of October to a family of four (two elder brothers and a twin brother). She started modeling when she was eleven years old and it is around that time in her life that she developed a love for the arts.
Acting came naturally as an extension to the modeling. She says it was challenging to begin with but it eased on as time went on and she still learns new things about the art of acting. “Every character I am cast to play is exciting I get a rush it feels like jumping off a bridge, maybe I’m an adrenaline junkie’, she laughs. She loves the challenge of the unknown and bringing the scripted character to life.
Her acting roles have varied emotionally and intellectually however they are always a new experience for her. The roles vary from the clever girl to the sweet girl, bitter person and sad etc.
“Every character I am cast to play is exciting I get a rush it feels like jumping off a bridge, maybe I’m an adrenaline junkie’
Getting into character is always a challenge but its exciting at the same time and is always a mind opener as she gets to familiarize herself with human characteristics that help her understand society.
Zibusiso has an amazing figure eight body and when we asked the beauty what her fashion style is all she could say is “anything that emphasizes and elaborates what I already have naturally”, that is on her, for other people I enjoy seeing people who define fashion trends that do not contradict the natural silhouette.’
She also added that she is her own fashion icon and she cannot leave the house without her phone, iPod and lipstick.
In the next few years Zibusiso sees herself on motivational platforms that will help the youth get relevant career guidance. She would like to see an increase in the support system that acknowledges and values art.
She would like to spearhead workshops that encourage the youth and reassures them that it is okay to be an artist. She also believes that the stigma attached to art can be erased through education hence the establishment of artistic support systems in the family structure as well as in society as a whole.
