This month Theatre for Everyone is staging a play titled Reflection on the 27th of May 2016 at the National Gallery Bulawayo.This is a story of a young girl who wants to chase a dream of being a professional dancer but her dedicated mother who has other plans for her will stop at nothing to ensure this does not happen.
Desire Moyo the Director of Victory Siyanqoba Trust will direct this exceptionally piece of theatre. The play was written by Vincent Ngwenya .Ngwenya is no stranger in the arts industry, he is the writer and director of Journey home , a feature film that was launched last year in May and has directed other few movies.
The play features Loveness Gava, Silibeni Moyo, Memory Mguni and the Star Brite winner Novuyo Seagirl Dube.
Reflection is produced by Theatre for Everyone-Bulawayo program. Theatre for Everyone – Bulawayo’ is a monthly theatre program that intends to build up theatre audience attendance whilst a creating a marketable, sustainable and support worthy theatre industry.
This is done through introducing fresh, original and entertaining theatre plays. The plays are showcased every last Friday of the month.
The audience turn up continues to grow and there is definitely an opportunity in the theatre industry to be seized. Our plays are accommodative to everyone regardless of age, race and background and they also our plays tackle social relevant issues /themes that are happening in our society .
