“The love i have for Music for my Husband ,for my child is something that will last beyond my life”-Beyonce Knowles

How inspiring! Since the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy in 2012,she has made conscious efforts to balance her music, marriage and role as a mother.

She works six days a week and takes a dedicated day off to spend time with her husband and daughter. When touring for about  2 months, she takes 2 weeks OFF.In an interview with Oprah she said that the secret to a happy marriage is balance between one’s independence and the love for one’s husband.

However she is going back to the studio and stage before the end of the year because music is her dream and passion so she has to push nomatter the circumstances to leave a mark for herself and to make a difference. She emphasised that one has to make time for her family,be there for them and help children with homework if possible as a way of bonding.

On the other hand Dj Zinhle’s super woman powers seem to be wearing Off for Now. She recently admitted to being overwhelmed by her career and motherhood. She admitted a few months ago working hard and being superwoman but things have changed .She feels as if her life and Kairo’s life is passing her by while she runs around trying to balance everything. She has however slowed down to focus on the beautiful things in life.

Just because we are strong women doesn’t  mean we do not fall apart sometimes. It’s natural its how we pick ourselves up that matters. After all its what does not kill us that makes us stronger. To all aspiring and struggling female musicians there is no particular format to balancing music, motherhood and sometimes marriage.

The best one can do is prat, practice and persevere. We can only share our stories to streengthen each other.

By the way Sheroes before i sign out, help me say Happy Birthday to my sugarsmacks and do thank him for keeping me stress free so that Iam inspired to write everyday. Happy Birhday Gunz.
