Lorraine Maplanka Stot is a mother of 3 children, wife to Blessing “Stot” Sitotombe and a Worshipper.
Her career started at primary school when she joined her church praise & worship team around 1999-2000.
Her love for Gospel music rose after being inspired by her mother as she was and still is directing the music team at ZAOGA church. Among her favorite artists, Maplanka-Stot names US based Tamela Mann and Ntokozo Mbambo from South Africa.
She runs a group known as Women of Valour with the help of her husband Blessing Stot. Its purpose is to help ladies get a platform to expose themselves, grow and learn more in the music industry professionally.
Each year they record a select of ladies on a DVD project. The project was launched in May 2017 as they recorded their first DVD titled Women of Valour Volume One.Women of Valour recently released the 14 track album.
Maplanka-Stot’s debut album Chronicles of a Worshiper was released in December 2016 and although she has not done any official collaborations, she has featured on several albums with different artists like Caleb Msipa from Bulawayo and Rev. T.T Chivaviro from Harare.
The Award Winning gospel musician is also building her own music label called Inspired Music, in the near future she will be helping and assisting other musicians arise and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music.
She considers herself a true gospel singer and a minister of the Word. ‘My music is directed at believers & non-believers. I only hope that as it plays on radio non-believers can get the message and it brings an upliftment to their lives’ says Lorraine Maplanka Stot.
