All roads lead to The Smoke House at Busters Sports Club this Sunday for a unique music experience with Mokoomba who will be preforming in Bulawayo as part of their Homecoming tour.
The ever globetrotting outfit last had a performance in the city at Intwasa Arts Festival in 2012 gave a memorable act that left many eager to see them on stage again.
Besides the Bulawayo show Mokoomba will also have a show in Victoria Falls on Saturday before a November 30 show at the Rainbow Towers in Harare.
The aim of the show is to focus on the home market said Marcus Gora who is the band manager.
“We’ve been touring abroad a lot, but we haven’t done much in Zimbabwe. When we do perform, it’s only in Harare and Victoria Falls. The tour is exciting to us” added Gora.
At the Sunday event Mokoomba will also give a sample of their latest album Luyando.
Mokoomba is a music group which was born at the border of Victoria Falls. The group combines traditional and modern instruments and a variety of international pop and pan-African styles – including soukous, funk and reggae – to bring together different cultures from Southern, East and Central Africa.
