Kevin Makhosi’s first album “Nambini Volume” did not do well in the music scene. Despite the heartbreaking debut album, thie lessons learnt have propelled him do his best and correct his mistakes in his upcoming Afro -House album “Nyimbo Za Ku Africa”.
In an interview with Urban Culxure, Makhosi said his latest album is set to change the landscape of house music in Zimbabwe.
“I think after this album people will have a different perception of Afro-House music because I incorporated professionals who produced the best beats and mastered it for me. This is all thanks to the production stable Afro-Sounds who have produced hits for artists like Qeqeshiwe and 2018 Bulawayo Arts Awards nominee Bhadillah”.
“In this project I featured supreme artists who include the queen of house music Seagirl, Qeqeshiwe, Miss Dee, Shackx, Hirev Rockstar, and Afro Sounds. All in all the album comprises of nine tracks,” he said.
“Nyimbo Za Ku Africa means African music in Chewa, so basically this album is meant to express to people that it is an Afro-House album. There are some songs which will be in Chewa. It is my new sound and many will relate it with Salif Keita” added the musician.
The new album is set to be launched on the 29th March and will be available in a number of digital platforms.
