Bulawayo based Zimbabwe Theatre Academy graduates Cadrick Msongelwa and Ronald Sigeca are set to prove they rising stock of theatre industry, when they bring Zandezi to Bulawayo Theatre for its first public screening in the city.
Zandezi is a daring and mind blowing two men physical theatre play that interrogates and tackles the issues of justice in prison services and the life of Ex-convicts faced with society.
Sigenca and Msongelwa are not new to theatre as they have previously worked with Centre for Talent Development in a number of productions before enrolling with the academy last year.
Zandezi has had successful runs at Reps Theatre, Theatre in the Park and Karoi in 2018. The play which was also billed for a performance at Arts Extra last year failed to take off due to technical challenges and will finally make its debut in the city on Thursday.
The Zimbabwe Theatre Academy production was created by the two actors and was directed by theatre trainer Lloyd Nyikadzino while Leonard Matsa was the script consultant.
