“Ngoma iNgoma was inspired by the richness of the Zimbabwean & African cultural
music as well as the need for continuity in our music culture in Zimbabwe” said Blessing Sitotombe who is the groups bassist.

“We felt that our nation is rich in diverse music styles and genres which make up part of our
heritage and should be passed down through generations this is why we are following in the footsteps of our elders & seniors who made original African informative music,” added Sitotombe.

The group creates music that speaks on equality, unity and love and uses three  languages mainly in 3 languages (Ndebele, Shona & English).

We are driven by the belief that in addition to making people dance music can teach lessons and pass positive messages,” said Sitotombe.

“Together we are pushing an agenda on intercultural dialogue as a tool and medium of providing linkages between different belief systems, traditions, value systems, linguistic identities and ethnic identities.” said Sitotombe.

Project Ngoma was recorded live at The Place, a affluent restaurant in Bulawayo on February 24.
