Masarira has been tasked to put up a team that will work towards the revival of the VAAB activities and also prepare for the 2020 Annual General Meeting that will be held on Saturday 1 February 2020.

Speaking to our news crew, Masarira said he hopes to create links and platforms for international workshops for visual artists in the city.

“We will also work on promoting upcoming visual artists and make sure they get exhibition space,” said Masarira

He further highlighted that VAAB will work on the relationship between artists and the gallery. Masarira also said they will engage with renowned visual artists in mentoring up and coming artists and in the process also protecting their legacy.

George, as he is popularly referred to graduated from the Mzilikazi Arts and Craft Centre in 2010 and started his craft at the gallery in 2013. He majored in fine art, ceremic design, pottery, and wood carving with a strong bias towards fine art.
