When we thought that it was just a Skyz Metro FM thing, then boom!!!!, Khulumani FM has suffered the same fate as its competitor. Talented radio personality,Hlengiwe Mtetwa has left the ZBC owed radio channel to pursue greener pastures.
MaHlengz as she is affectionally known, announced her departure on her Facebook page on Monday and thanked the station for supporting her one-year stint.
“Today is the beginning of a new month but it is also the close of a very beautiful chapter in my life. My journey with @khulumanifm95 has been nothing short of a miracle and I would not be where I am without it. I end this journey with nothing but gratitude, happiness and optimism as to what lies ahead. On to the next adventure 😊💃”
In an interview with our news crew, Hlengiwe said she is working on a talk show that will be coming up soon and she also hopes to grow the current Girls Table show.
“I have a talk show coming up, still in the pipeline can’t talk much about and I want to grow the girls table so as to make an actual impact on young women in our community. The idea is for it to be more than just a platform for conversation but a space of action” said MaHlengz
Hlengiwe joined the station when it first went live in March last year and has left a permanent mark with her amazing skills. She presented Chu No Mphulaphuli the Mid Morning show from 9AM-12Noon.
“I will always love radio and maybe will go back on the airwaves one day” she highlighted.
This year has seen a number of radio presenters hanging their gloves. A few months ago Skyz Metro was rocked by major moves fromm the radio station. Babongile Skhonjwa and his Vuka Vuka Breakfast Show co-host TKP left the radio station within a space of days in what looked like a suspicious move; Master Eli followed suit last month.
We wish Hlengiwe all the best in her adventurous pursuit!!!!
