Two South African based Zimdancehall artistes Tenmark and Stiffler King last month launched a new platform set to showcase, scout and market the best of the Zimdancehall musicians to the rest of the world.
Disciplinary Committee (DC) will develop the industry through exchange programs and workshops for upcoming artiste in Zimbabwe.
“Our vision is to work with other big successful Zim dance-hall artists to promote this movement and build the industry, we are worried about youths and we want to use music to motivate and elevate them,”, said Stiffler King.
“We hope a number of young people will join us in promoting the movement, as we envision to open a school of music in the near future”, added Stiffler King.
The newly established have so far managed to sign two female artists and have hopes to grow it into other genres of art including acting and video production.
The duo is currently on a massive recruitment exercise for talented artists to join them and be part of D.C. “We want more creative and talented young people to be part of D.C from all corners of the world, as we hope to take the initiative beyond Africa,” said Tenmark.
