Air Zimbabwe has partnered with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) for the 12th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, which is scheduled to kick on Thursday in Bulawayo.
The Memorandum of Understanding will see Air Zimbabwe join the Ethiopian Airlines which signed an MOU with ZTA, last Thursday. Ethopian Airlines will serve international buyers, exhibitors and media traveling to Zimbabwe for the tourism expo, while Air Zimbabwe will be the official carrier for all domestic routes.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority’ Head of Corporate Affairs Godfrey ‘Chief’ Koti, confirmed the developments yesterday.
“Air Zimbabwe has several flights to the majestic Victoria Falls from Harare and Bulawayo. This year Air Zimbabwe has partnered with us as we host the 12th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo” he said.
Air Zimbabwe Corporate Communications Officer Firstme Vitori said the airline was delighted with the collaboration.
“As Air Zimbabwe, we are excited to partner with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) once again as the official airline for the domestic travel for Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo 2019 as we continue to facilitate Tourism, Investment and Trade,” she said.
Vitori also confirmed that the national airline will be exhibiting at this year’s expo.
“As an exhibitor at this year’s expo, we are also looking forward to fruitful engagements with the diverse spectrum of domestic, regional and international buyers who are scheduled to attend Sanganai/Hlanganani 2019. The engagements are expected to include the proposed additional domestic routes such as Kariba and Buffalo Range among others.” she said.
Over 280 buyers, exhibitors and media personalities are expected to attend the annual tourism expo which will be hosted at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre from September 12-14 2019.
