South African music star, Dr. Malinga ,has cancelled his upcoming performance in Zimbabwe which was scheduled for Sartuday 7 September 2019 in Bulawayo. The cancellation is due to the unfortunate xenophobia attacks currently happening in South Africa.
The cancellation also comes after Mafikizolo and pop sensation Mlindo the Vocalist, both cancelled their Zimbabwean weekend gigs due security fears.
Dr. Malinga was billed to be the headline act for the annual “Umcimbi Wabantu” which serves as Skyz Metro FM’s birthday bash.
This was said by the Station Manager Godwin Phiri in a statement shared to the media on Thursday afternoon.
